2011 - 2012 Calendar of Events

Our events are open to all Brown Club members, their guests, and friends of Brown University. If you have any questions about events, please contact Dick Teller (239-596-6778).

Events will be posted as they are scheduled.

Out to Lunch Bunch

The Out to Lunch Bunch meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at noon.

Meetings are held at the Naples Sailing & Yacht Club, 896 River Point Drive. River Point Drive is the first street east of Tin City on 41. The NSYC is at the end of the street.

Attendees who are not members of the NSYC can use credit cards to pay for lunch -- but not cash. Pricing is about the same as the other venues at which the Out to Lunch Bunch has met.

• Thursday, April 26th

Faculty Speaker : Saturday, January 28, 2012 (4:00pm to 6:00pm)

Professor Jack Mustard from Brown's Department of Geological Sciences will speak on "Exploring Neighbors with NASA". Wine and hor's deuvres will be served.

Sugden Theater : Saturday, February 4, 2012 (8:00pm)

Join us for dinner at Vergina (6:00pm) followed a performance of Moonlight and Magnolias across the street at the Sugden.

Cost:  $32.00 per theater ticket -- dinner is a la carte.

Baseball Game : Saturday, March 17, 2012 (1:35pm)

A Boston Red Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles spring training game at the new JetBlue Park in Fort Myers.

Faculty Speaker : Saturday, March 24, 2012

Professor Timothy Herbert, Chairman of Brown's Department of Geological Sciences, will discuss climate change from a geologist's perspective.

Ivy League Picnic : Sunday, April 22, 2012 (5:30pm to 8:00pm)

Join us for this popular annual event. Cornell is the host this year.

Location:  Naples Beach Hotel & Golf Club, Naples

Football Game : Saturday, November 5, 2011 (12:00pm)

Join us to watch the Brown vs. Yale football game at Freddie Rebel's Sports Bar, 5310 Shirley Street in Naples, just north of Pine Ridge Road.

Holiday Party : Sunday, December 11, 2011 (6:00pm to 8:00pm)

Join us for our traditional Holiday Season Party.
